I also have very exciting News to share with you!
I'm going to be running a Beginners glass Fusing courses in January / February in Brighton.
This too is a great present idea for those of you have pondered how glass is made? How can you design & get those effects in glass? etc...
Well now you can find out. Gift vouchers are available ( where the date can be left open for the person receiving this present so they can arrange with me direct in the week after Christmas which date to attend).
This two day course focuses mainly on working creatively with glass in the kiln. You will learn how to cut and construct your designs in glass using various techniques and master the firing process to create panels, tableware, hangings and basic jewellery pieces to take home with you.
You will have the opportunity to work with and learn about a variety of different sheet glass available; such as Artista, Bullseye, Spectrum, Dichroic, Recycled and float (window) glass.
We will explore the use of different additional materials such as metals and organic matter and experiment with colour using frits, powders and enamels, Also we will look at creating unusual effects in the glass such as bubbles.
This Beginners course is aimed at providing you with an overall understanding in the fundamentals of glass working using the fusing technique, we will cover technical issues on glass compatibility and firing programs enabling you to progress with your own creative projects afterwards.

Brighton Festival Open Houses May 2007
This comprises of 4 weekends of Art trails, inspiring works and lots of fun.

After an adventurous holiday from Santa cruz in California to Baja Mexico and back, searching some of the best surfing beaches, braving the (still) cold seas and meeting lots of nice friendly people and almost living on pancakes (I'll never eat them again!) I'm back in the studio, creating new designs and styles for this years exiting collections!
